Cover: Crossed (sequel to Matched) by Ally Condie

I just saw this cover posted on goodreads and the author's site and I got all excited! I love these covers. I think they are very evocative of the story itself and more beautiful for their simplicity. I read Matched awhile back and liked it. I'm hoping that the second has a little more action and is just as well written. I can't wait til Nov.

What do you think? Have you read Matched? Are you anxiously awaiting the sequel?

Cover: Passion by Lauren Kate

This is the cover for Passion the third book in the Fallen series by Lauren Kate. She has had visually stunning covers for this series so far and this one seems to be no exception. At first glance I didn't know how I felt about it. The more I looked at it the more I like it, though. It's haunting and beautiful with a wistfulness about it.
Pubs seem to be hitting the ball out of the park with YA book covers lately. What do you think about this one?

Awesome Covers Alert

My girl, Gini, shared the covers for the next two books in her series that stars Kitty, Reader, Martini and Co, and I loved them so much that I had to share with you all.

Doesn't Daniel Dos Santos do the best covers? I love 'em. I especially love the one for Alien In The Family. Total awesomeness. What do you all think?

I can't wait to get these books in my grabby lil hands.

You can get the latest news about upcoming books, interviews and giveaways on the author's blog, here.

Something Pretty

I was doing some window shopping last night and came upon this cover. I don't know what it is, but I think it is so sensual and erotic. I can almost feel the tension off the two lovers. She looks as if she's given herself up to the moment just like her wordly tutor has instructed she should do. While our jaded master stares at her with such intensity and holds her so possessively, as if he never expected to feel and now that he does he's scared to let go, lest she disappear.

The book itself sounds meh, honestly. Not overly interested in reading it, but I swear, a whole mini story popped into my head when I saw that cover. Does that ever happen to you? Where you almost want to buy the book just so you can stare at the cover and make up stories that are possibly better than what's inside?

Cover Love

Torment by Lauren Kate is the sequel to Fallen. I had some issues with Fallen as you may recall from my review of it, but I'm still looking forward to this next installment which will be out in September of this year.

Issues aside, these books have some fabulous covers. I just love the angst and stark beauty that these covers embody. They also feel very appropriate for the story which is rather rare in covers lately, imho.

Who is reading this series? Do you like the covers?

Cover Love

That's right darlings, it's time again to show some cover love. This cover is just awesome! Has at the Bookpushers pointed this book out to me and now it is on my reading and blogging radar. I haven't found a blurb yet, but I'm loving the cover art and I'm guessing at plot just based on that :P

It's scheduled to be out in April, 2010.

What do you think? Look like something you'd want to read?
